Where on the barrel do you take the 7/8" O.D. measurement? I like rules but only if you can enforce them in a fair manner.

If your goal is to grow a shoot you better get the rules correct and defined from the get-go. Over 20 years ago I had a 1-1/4” barrel built which was the latest technology for the big money shoots. The shoot where I used this setup shut down. I took it to a few local matches and it was not allowed. ...

When the operator allows guns to shoot that don't comply with the rules that are advertised, everything is OK until they start they start winning and then the *$#% hits the fan. Never use the words "if it looks stock" or "within reason". Shooters who are competitive don't mind the non complying guns...

Benelli pumps, BPS, the new Remington pump and the Moss 835 which are all over 7/8" (ALL STOCK GUNS BOUGHT OVER THE COUNTER)

Just wondering how you handle Benelli pumps, BPS, the new Remington pump and the Moss 835 which are all over 7/8" O.D. We tried that here and had to go to 1" which meant the winners were mostly built barrels.
