More shooters

Post by muddy » Thu Jul 08, 2021 9:29 am

How do we get more shooters? We are the only shoot during the summer. It’s a 70/30 money split for winning. Cheap entry. What more can we do? It’s been tough to get 10 shooters this year

If you were like maybe three or four hours away instead of nine hours away I would definitely check it out!

So we got away from the bull barrels. I think it helped. The guns kept getting bigger and more and more expensive. Ran some shooters away. We shoot 60’, Wagner 9’s, .675 chokes, no scopes, stock appearing, no bipods. I’m on the fence about the no scopes and choke restrictions. We shoot $5 a round and pay $3 back.

This shoot is 70 ft so even stock guns can have a chance. The champion from the year before stopped coming. No clue why.

Want a fun shoot ?

72’ shooting 9’s. With a 7/8” 36” barrel limit, 675 choke limit , no scopes, shooting bags ok. It’s awesome fun shooting. 👍🏻 Have a good house gun for those that try to sneak in a tight choke lol

As you know we (American Legion & Elks Lodge) shoot up here (Kent Island) through April. I'm sure I can round-up few guys to fight the O.C. traffic a couple of Sundays? At least I'll try. Note: both shoots allow stock appearing guns with .640 max restriction. Both shoot #8 at 90ft. I will need to convince these folks to use different guns. That will be a hard sell.
